Winning Numbers in Blackjack
When you are playing blackjack you really
need a 19, 20 or 21 to win or you need the dealer to
bust. It is really that simple in online blackjack.
If you have 17 or 18 you can’t feel very good.
For example, let’s say you stand on 17. You will
lose most of the time when the dealer shows any card
except a 6. So what can you do about this rotten hand
of 17? You have to stay unless it is a soft 17. What
about 18? You would think you would be in better shape
with the 18 and that is true but not by much. You make
money in the long run when the dealer shows a 2 through
an 8, but you lose against the 9, 10, or Ace.
What if you have 19 when playing blackjack?
This blackjack hand should be a good one but it does
not guarantee you a win. If the dealer shows an ace
or a 10 you are still in trouble. If you have 20 then
you finally have a strong hand. Against any dealer's
up card including an ace, you will make money in the
long run. The winning hands in blackjack are usually
20 or 21 as seven times out of 10 the winning hand will
be 20 or 21.
Also keep in mind that when you have 11
you double down when the dealer is showing the up cards
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 and you double down with a 10 against
the 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
