Practice Makes Prefect
When you play blackjack your chances of
winning are just under 50% on each hand you play. The
cards don’t have a memory of what happened in
the last hand. You may have won five straight hands
or lost five straight hands but that has no bearing
on what will happen next. What does have an impact on
whether you win or lose at blackjack is whether you
are prepared to win.
When you begin playing blackjack, either
online or at a land-based casino, you need to know how
much you are willing to spend. If you have $500 to spend
at the online blackjack tables you should play at a
table with a minimum of two to five dollars. You can
play at a higher limit but why? You can still risk more
than the $5 and if you want to keep your costs down
you can play for just the minimum.
As you play blackjack you will gain experience
and there is no better teacher than experience. The
more knowledge and practice you get at the blackjack
tables the better off you will be. Blackjack is a game
where skill is important but there is no question that
luck helps. A good place to practice is at online casinos
where you can play for free or at very low limits. There
is no doubt that the casino has the edge in blackjack
over the long haul but you can win money if you play
smart and if you have a plan of attack.
