How to play Blackjack
Blackjack is not just one of the most popular card games in
the world but, beyond that, is one of the most popular of all
casino games that you can find.
Blackjack, also commonly referred to as “Twenty-one”
is a card game in which the gambler is matched up against the
dealer in the attempt to scoring as close to the total of twenty-one
points as possible without going over, which is known as “bust.”
All face cards in blackjack are worth ten points except the
ace, which can be worth either ten points or one. All numeric
cards are worth their exact number. For example, if a gambler
is dealt a queen and a five, he has a total of fifteen points.
He then must decide whether to take a “hit” which
is another card from the dealer or to stand pat or to fold.
Remember, if the player is hit with another card and it is a
seven or higher he would go “bust” and lose his
wager.
There are as many theories on successful blackjack as there
are players. Literally hundreds of books have been written on
blackjack with nearly every kind of scenario totally examined.
Yet, despite the countless theories, books, and analysis written
blackjack is, in its essence, a VERY simple game in which the
basics of math and odds never change or go away.
